Getting your nails done at a salon is a luxury. And at times, it can be expensive. Especially when you ask for specialty nails. Yes, we're talking full sets, extra long, pointed shape, gel polish, nail art, and Swarovski Crystals! It adds up fast. So the question is, do you think these kind of services cost too much?

I've been a nail tech for a little over 3 years now. What I've noticed is that many standard salons charge for the time it takes to complete the service, the quality of products they use, and for the specific skill level of the tech. In my opinion, that's very fair. There're many non-standard nail salons that rush through appointments to get to the next, the products they use aren't safe, or the quality is simply crap. Sometimes, what you pay for is what you get. Now it's not always a guarantee that you'll be 100% satisfied just because you paid a lot of money for a service.

So my advice to you is to simply do your research and have a budget. Know what kind of services you want, and know where to go. Legitimate businesses will most likely have a website, a social media page, reviews, and so on. Sometimes, you just have to be open and be willing to try out several places until you find the perfect salon, service, and nail tech for you! With that being said, be kind, always, and I hope everyone finds their perfect match
