Breakfast around the world is different. I always joke that there isn't such a thing as breakfast food or drinks in Hmong families, especially mine! We always sort of ate and drank whatever we were in the mood for. And whatever was available. Good times.

When I was in France with my family, my cousins choice of instant coffee to start out our day was Ricore, by Nestle. So it naturally became my preference. Apparently, Ricore contains coffee, and also chicory, which is a plant based substitute. It has a rich taste, so a little goes a long way. I like to add a little sugar and cream, too. Sweet snacks and French baguettes were also a staple along with our morning coffee.
