Coffee is one of the most popular beverages around the world and is often consumed in the morning. It's when people can benefit from caffeine the most! The fact that it has always been a popular drink and companies are offering new variety of ways to enjoy coffee, more people are drinking it throughout the day. Here in the US, we usually grab our coffee to-go in the morning, on our way to work. In Vietnam, they usually drink coffee 3 times a day--in the morning, afternoon, and at night. In countries like Finland, people drink coffee all day long. There's even a labor law stating that in each work day, two 15 minute coffee breaks are mandatory! How awesome!!
My mom's side of the family resettled in France in the early 1980's. They enjoy their coffee in the morning, with fresh croissants and baguettes from their local bakery. Pictured above is a warm, delicious cup of coffee from a previous trip I took to France in early 2019. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the drink. But after a long day tour in the beautiful city of Avignon where we visited several palaces and gardens, we made our final stop in the heart of the city to enjoy this cup of coffee and dessert. We had chocolate crepes! Although coffee is typically enjoyed in the mornings, we needed this to warm ourselves up on a chilly, February evening. Coffee with dessert seemed typical in France. There's so much more to see and learn. I can't wait to visit my family again and continue to drink coffee around the world ❤
